Welcome to the internet page of Kontakt!

Introduction to Kontakt and the hamlib

The hamlib is a library for remote controlling your ham radio equipment. Kontakt adds a nice graphical interface to this functionality.

I have started Kontakt as my internship project. It is alpha status. You can't do much with it (yet), there is no documentation, only some documented source. This is my first "real" project and the absolutely first using C++. Qt2 and KDE2.

Downloading Kontakt and the hamlib; compilation notes

Hamlib is available from its homepage. There is a bleeding-edge CVS version as well as a "more stable" release version available.

Kontakt ist fairly new and has no files released so far. If you really want to download it, then you must access the CVS. Instructions can be found on the project page, section CVS. A KDevelop project file kontakt.kdevprj is included.

Just a note on compilation: If you're not using KDevelop, you'll need to do the following steps:

$ make -f Makefile.dist
$ configure
$ make
